Bread defines comfort and we all have to enjoy it with moderation but why not have it every once and a while the best way we know how...Garlic Bread! This recipe is made with a homemade vegan roasted garlic butter that is sure to win over any garlic bread lovers heart. You will want to make sure if you eat some, that you special someone does as well to cancel out the garlic breath though. This shouldn't be a problem because this bread is so good you may need to make more. Enjoy with your favorite main dish with a nice salad and you can call everyone for dinner, but no fighting over the last piece.

Garlic Bread
Heat the oven to 350 Degrees
Slice your favorite Italian bread width wise down the center until you get 8 slices 1/2 inch thick. With a spatula spread 1/2 tablespoon of your garlic butter mixture onto each slice of bread. Place the bread on a sheet pan, top with the 1/4 teaspoon Nutritional Yeast and bake for 5 minutes at 350 Degrees. When 5 minutes are up, bake for an additional 3 to 5 minutes on a low broil until golden brown and crispy. Remove from the oven when golden and crispy and serve warm with your favorite main dish. Enjoy!

-1 bulb/head garlic
-1 Tablespoon Olive oil
-Sprinkle of each Salt and freshly ground black pepper

Garlic Bread
-8 slices of Italian Bread (1/2 inch thick)
-4 Tablespoons room temperature vegan butter or margarine (Unsalted: Adjust salt to taste if using salted)
-1 bulb/head of roasted garlic & all the oil in your foil that cooked with roasted garlic (you pre-roasted)

-2 teaspoons Nutritional Yeast, plus 1/4 teaspoon (on each slice before baking)
-1/2 teaspoon Italian Seasoning
-1/2 teaspoon dried or 1 teaspoon fresh parsley (minced)
-1/4 teaspoon dried or 1 teaspoon fresh basil (minced)
-1/4 cup vegan cheese (Daiya Mozzarella or Jack)
-2 teaspoons vegan Parmesan
-1/4 teaspoon salt & black pepper (or salt to taste)
Directions
How to Roast Garlic
Slice off the very top of the garlic head (the tip with point) to expose the garlic a little. Drizzle head with olive oil, a sprinkling of salt & pepper and wrap in foil. Place on a sheet tray or small baking dish and bake until tender and fragrant, roughly 25 to 35 minutes (depending on bulb size, the garlic will fork tender and golden brown). Remove from the oven and let cool.

Garlic Bread
Place the whole head of roasted garlic (squeeze the head and cloves pop out), parsley, basil, Italian seasoning, salt and pepper in the bowl of a food processor fitted with the steel blade (or a bowl with a fork) and process until finely minced. Add vegan butter, oil, nutritional yeast, and vegan cheeses to the food processor and process to combine ingredients until smooth.
