Vegan Pizza Dip "Fondue"

Vegan Pizza Dip "Fondue"

Sometimes changing up the same old pizza night routine is a nice change of pace. This recipe combines ALL the favorites of a pizza but with out the pesky delivery man. A great dish to serve on those family nights where you all will sit down around this fondue and enjoy the fun of dipping, dunking, and fighting over who gets the last breadstick! ...Also a fantastic game day favorite for guests & family when wanting to show them something different from the usual slice. Enjoy!

Vegan Pizza Dip "Fondue"

Ingredients

-2 cups pasta sauce, vegan
-1 teaspoon Italian Seasoning, dried
-2 teaspoons Parsley, dried
-10 to 15 Vegan Pepperoni slices, chopped & cubed in to small pieces
-2 vegan sausage patties or 1 large sausage link, chopped & cubed in to small pieces
-1 cup vegan cheese, Daiya (favorite flavor)
-1/2 Tablespoon vegan Parmesan
-Salt & Pepper, to taste
-1 to 2 Tablespoons Olive oil, depending on pan size

Optional

-Add in extra pizza favorites to your own liking, I usually add in 1/4 to a 1/2 cup veggies (peppers and onions, frozen or fresh), you could also add in olives or mushrooms as well. Make this pizza dip your own!

Directions

Preheat the oven to 375 Degrees

Prep all your meats and veggies (if adding extra), chop and set aside to use in dip.

Add pasta sauce, Italian seasoning, 1 tsp parsley, vegan meats, veggies, vegan Parmesan, 1/2 cup cheese, and salt & pepper to taste into a oven safe baking or casserole dish. Stir to combine mixture. Place in oven to cook for 20 to 30 minutes, stirring occasionally until hot and bubbly around edges.

Carefully remove from oven and add remaining 1/2 cup vegan cheese, 1 tsp parsley, and Salt & Pepper (to taste) sprinkled on top of the dip, drizzle with a 1 to 2 Tbsp olive oil and place back in the oven on low broil for 5 minutes or until the cheese on top is melted and bubbly. Make sure to watch carefully while in oven to ensure it doesn't burn or over brown. Remove CAREFULLY from oven when done and cool until serving. Serve with chips, bread sticks, and/or veggies. Enjoy!

Tip

This recipe can also be done in a small Crockpot, follow all the steps of prep leading up to placing it into the oven and add it to your Crockpot, cook for 30 to 45 minutes until mixture is melts and mixed well together. When done cooking, remove Crockpot CAREFULLY with oven mitts and continue the last step of adding the cheese layer on top and broil for your topping to be cooked. Remove from oven and serve.
